Office of Senator Richard Burr (R-NC)
Learn more about internships with Senator Burr's office here
Senator Burr’s office is excited to partner with IOP this summer to offer an internship for one student. During their time in Washington, D.C. interns participate in a wide array of activities ranging from constituent services and conducting U.S. Capitol tours to legislative research. In addition, interns are encouraged to enjoy the many other activities Washington, D.C. offers. Applicants should be upperclassmen college students from the state of North Carolina studying political science or government. Interns work in Senator Burr’s legislative office. The nature of the work of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence prevents Senator Burr’s office from placing interns in his committee office.
Below you will find the summer internship dates (applicants will need to pick two consecutive sessions for the IOP program):
- Session 1: May 11th – June 8th
- Session 2: June 8th – July 13th
- Session 3: July 13th – August 10th
